Everyone. This is what is going to happen in the beginning of 2012. I
have talked to people about this and finally got the chance to witness
it.
New Technology?- Yes, a new technology is coming. Can't remember the
name of it, but its made so you can customize your grip. The new
racquets will still keep the BLX.
The Six One Tour- Wilson will be bringing back the name pro-staff to
this line. There will also be two additional new racquets. The first is
obviously the Prostaff Six One Tour, the same thing(90 inch headsize) as
the BlX or any version, second is a new Six one Tour but has a 95 inch
headsize and is roughly about 11.7 strung. Finally, there will be one
that has a 100 inch headsize and about 11.1 strung weight(This will be
interesting). If you see in the picture in this forum, about the second
or third reply, the top three racquets are Pro Staffs. The paint job for
this has white, red and gold.
The Six One 95- Not much changed only the paint job. It is mostly red
and a little bit white. The two racquets in the middle right are these.
The Six One Team- This racquet also has a change. The paint job will be
the same as the Six One 95's, but it will also have a 16 by 18 string
pattern instead of the 18 by 20. Wilson says this is because they
thought this racquet needed to have more pop and spin.
The Juice- This line will be the BLX Pro line. Del Potro will be using
this. A new name and new paint job. Blue, yellow, and white(Kind of
ugly). Nothing else new.
The Steam- I do not have much info on this, but this racquet will be
very similar to the pure drive. 11.2 Strung weight, 16 by 19 pattern,
100 inch headsize, and as thick as the pure drive. Paint job is ok, blue
and yellow, but there are rumors that Ernest Gulbis will now be using
this racquet.
Tour- New paint job, nothing else.
Overall- New grip technology, two new racquets in the Six One Tour Line,
a new Steam line, paint jobs, Pro line is now called the Juice,and 16
by 18 string pattern for the Six one team.
